The book club recently went to our friend Carol's house to take a tea tour.
We learned a lot about tea. She taught us all we needed to know about how to brew it, how different kinds of teas take different temperatures and amounts of time and how each type of tea is different. We learned so much about tea I'm sure we are all experts now!
We got to try 5 kinds of tea and then at the end we got to brew a mug of our choice.
Carol was a wonderful hostess, she had lots of snacks to go with the teas. There were strawberries for the Coconut Green Tea and chocolates for the black tea.
Then she also made honey roasted nuts to go with the herbal honey drink that we had last and we had some delicious apple pie with our final cup.
We talked tea and then we talked about this months book, "How to be a Hepburn in a Hilton World". We also celebrated some birthdays!
Gillian and Liana have birthdays in February and Malena's is in March.
It was a lot of fun exploring the world of tea and being with friends.
Then afterwards when we were all hanging out we had a wonderful performance of many Disney songs from Malena and Liana and my lovely friends Isabel and Pillow-Head looked on.
All in all we had a terrific time drinking tea and sharing our thoughts on the book of the month.
I think that almost anything is fun when we get together!
